The new owner of the Alyeska Resort is planning a major makeover that could include tearing down the day lodge and other buildings at the base of the ski slopes and replacing them with a mix of lodge and retail sites aimed at the resort's main customers -- day skiers from Anchorage.Alyeska in for big upgrades (Anchorage Daily News)
